Some love stories are so full of heart, laughter, and community that photographing them feels more like celebrating with old friends. That was exactly the case with Kylie and Jack’s wedding at Sydalyn Hill, one of my favorite rustic venues in the San Francisco Bay Area.

From their playful engagement session at China Beach in San Francisco to their heartfelt wedding day in the redwoods of Felton, every moment with these two was a joy to capture.

Sydalyn Hill, tucked away in the redwoods near Felton, CA, offers one of the most serene and unique wedding backdrops in the Bay Area. The sprawling views, charming 1908 cabin, and century-old walnut trees make it a dream to photograph — and it was the perfect match for Kylie and Jack’s warm, down-to-earth style.

Surrounded by a big, joyful group of family and friends, the couple’s day was bursting with energy and love. I was especially touched to reconnect with their family — I had the honor of photographing Jack’s sister’s wedding, so being welcomed back felt incredibly special.

One of my absolute favorite details? The vintage Chevrolet pickup truck that not only transported Kylie to the ceremony (how cool is that?), but later doubled as the most charming dessert station.

After dinner, guests were treated to It’s-It ice cream sandwiches, served straight from the back of the truck — a nostalgic, Bay Area classic that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

Their bridal party was a blast too — full of personality and energy, they made portraits fun and effortless. You could really feel how loved and supported Kylie and Jack are just by the way their friends rallied around them.

Kylie and Jack’s wedding was a perfect blend of laid-back elegance and heartfelt celebration. The laughter, the vintage touches, the people — it all came together in a way that felt so authentically them.
