Wedding Photography at Kohl Mansion, Burlingame

This was the first wedding that I booked for 2014 (over a year in advance) and I was very excited to take photos at the Kohl Mansion in Burlingame. I’ve been to this venue few times before attending events, but I never had had the pleasure to photograph a wedding there. My wish was granted!

Andrea and Sebastian organized their wedding from all the way across the pond in France. Luckily I had a chance to meet with Andrea in person once before the wedding day. She was so full of energy; excited as well as very informative as to what order the priorities were on her wedding day, and what was most important to her, which I very much appreciate.

I cannot stress how important it is to have a conversation in person, or at least a Skype consultation with your photographer. Getting to know you and your personal style, along with how you envision the memories of your special day really helps make sure everyone is on the same page the day of the wedding.

I’m always so impressed by my brides’ who decide to do part of the decorations or other wedding prep DIY. That said I don’t think I’ve ever had a bride who not only made her own wedding cake, bridal party flowers, and even appetizers for the cocktail hour! Did I mention that she was the only person on time for their group photos? Talk about super woman organizational skills…

Kohl Mansion is one of those wedding venues that doesn’t need a whole lot of decorations to impress. But Andrea, Sebastian and their team took it to the next level and turned this place an incredibly elegant background for their unforgettable wedding.

Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your spectacular wedding.

Merci Bocu!
