Ryan & Paul’s Wedding – Thunderbird Ranch, Healdsburg

On the 4^th of July I had the pleasure of photographing these two delightfully handsome gents. They are both such sweethearts, so very much in love. After hearing the speeches made at the wedding, all the heartwarming things the people close to them had to say about Paul and Ryan it only made me like them even more.

Thunderbird Ranch at Healdsburg was a picture perfect setting for Paul and Ryan’s rustic outdoor wedding. It’s a hidden gem tucked into the heart of Sonoma wine country.

I took the majority of their wedding photos prior to the ceremony with just the two of them at around 2 pm, which in the middle of the summer heat can be challenging. Luckily Thunderbird Ranch has an abundance of old growth trees that offer shade which was a welcome relief from 100 degree sun and made our mid day session possible!

I adore how Paul and Ryan decorated the place for their big day. Every detail was planed and the decorations were simple, beautiful, and well thought out. A perfect color palette of gray, light earth tones, and shades of creams with pops of soft yellow tied it all together. With sunflower centerpieces, signing table with lovely personal touches, matching grey and yellow polka dot socks, even signature drinks, this wedding was perfectly put together with lots of love.

At 10 O’clock the music may have stopped, but not the party! All the guests moved to the ceremony area, which had transformed into a great bonfire complete with a tasty s’more bar. The merry making continued long into the evening. I feel it is safe to say it was a dream come true filled with love, family, friends, and laughter for Ryan and Paul.
