Do I need to update my headshot?

If your answer is YES to at least one of those questions, it’s time to get a new professional headshot.

 

How soon can I schedule the session? 

For an individual headshots at my Castro Valley studio I can schedule you within a week.

 

What should I wear for a corporate headshot?

Good work headshot should not only show you but also showcase what you do, so there is not one answer to this question.

Should I schedule a professional make up and har style for my headshot?

It’s completely up to you! Professional hair and makeup can make a big difference in how polished and confident you look in your photos.

Professionally styled hair stays in place and photographs beautifully and a makeup artist knows how to apply products for camera lighting — so your skin looks natural, not shiny.

If you prefer to do it yourself that’s perfectly fine! Just make sure your hair is freshly styled, and bring a brush or comb for quick touch-ups. Light powder to reduce shine and a touch of lip color can go a long way on camera.

Keep it natural:
Even with professional help, aim for a clean, natural look that still feels like you. Avoid heavy contouring or dramatic styles unless that fits your brand.

Do I have to pay extra for a retouch?

Nope — retouching is already included!

Your headshot session includes one fully retouched final image at no extra cost. I carefully edit each selected image to remove minor blemishes, smooth skin tones so you look your absolute best — natural, polished, and professional.

If you decide you’d like additional images, those are available for $49 each, and every image you purchase will be fully retouched as well.

What background should I choose for my headshot?

For a clean and timeless look I go with dark gray or white backdrop, which is perfect for corporate, LinkedIn and company websites.

Check with your company if they have any specific requirements.

For business owners, executives, and creatives I recommend office or studio setting. It feels more natural and approachable than a solid color.

For small business owners, entrepreneurs, or anyone who wants a more personal touch, lifestyle and outdoor backgrounds work great. Natural light and real environments create a friendly, authentic look, which is great for website and social media branding.

 

My company needs headshots for the whole team. Can you travel to our office?

Yes. If your team is at least 6 members I can photograph you at convenience of your office without charging set up fee.
